2006????????

Ok 2006 season is on and alonso again has a good start. NO PROBLEMS schumi is not far behind. P2 in first race is not bad considering last years performance but we have to admit one thing that ferrari have done most of thier testing here in Bahrain so they had a slight edge over other teams. This Sat Malasyain GP will give us some idea how fast really ferrari is.

Before my predictions for this season lets look at some of the rules that have been changed for 2006
1.Tyre rule:- Tyre changes per race have been brought back to 7 tyres per race from 1 tyre per race.
2.Engine:- To reduce the power and price this year all the teams have to race with a V8
(or restricted power V10's) engine instead of V10's that they were allowed last year.
3. Qualifying:-For 2006 the single-lap system used in recent years is replaced be a new three-part, knockout format, with multiple cars on track throughout the qualifying hour, which is split into two 15-minute sessions and a final 20-minute session, with five-minute breaks in between.

Now comes the real part WHO WILL WIN?????
Lets analyse top teams one by one:-
1. Ferrari:- Ferrari have a decent line up with schumi and massa. Frankly speaking I don't think Fellipe Massa is worth that ferrari place but time will tell. Schumi is in full force this time he wants to win this title at any cost this year and end his carrer with a high. Ferreri as we all know is not just a sidy team they will fight back and hit those renaults and mclarens hard. If massa sticks to his job of supporting ferrari I feel ferrari have a good chance of winning the title. I feel in 2-3 races it will be clear that which car has the pace and then its upto team mgmt and reliability of the car to win.
2. Renault:- With Alonso and fichicella renault have an excellent driver line up best according to me. Believe me if Fichecella clicks all the top teams will have a hard time. No one has any doubts that the car is execllent provided by Mr Bavettori.
3. Mclaren:- McLaren looked a bit low this year but in baharain they proved that they were also among the top teams. Raikkonen came 3 from last imagine if he would have qualified 3 then?? According to me Mclarens have the most reliable and best paced car in F1 today.Only if they tell Montoya to shut up and drive I feel Mclaren have a good chance too.
4.Honda:- Ok so we have jenson Button (who has never won any race) and Rubins Barrichello(who can never win any race on his won) with an excellent Honda Car. If Honda had got the right driver combinations they would have rocked, anyways thier package is good and you never know.

Finally if you ask me who will put my money on then it will be obviosly be FERRARI. Micheal is desparate this time to win and if I know his Killer instinct he will hit the nail hard and will make his team work so hard to win this year. Ferrari have a decent car and a gr8 driver with killer instincts so GO SCHUMI GO

here we go (for F1 fans)

4 days to go for a brand new F1 season and im really optimistic this time. Ok so last year all teams and fia was against ferrari but still they managed a good 3rd position, remember when Mclaren was down in 2004 they were 5th in constructors and thier best driver (Kimi) was 7th in drivers, so ferrari have comparatively done quite well, again if the tyre rule would not have been changed to one tyre - ferrari would have repeated history. Guess what this year again the rule has changed back to 7 set of tyres per race!!!

If we look at last years performance i feel that mclaren were better than renault but were really inconsistent in the beginning hence lost out and obviously they had Mr Montoya who is the most ded(oversmart) driver who never wins and does not let other also win Piece of advise for Rom Dennis remove Montoya and be 2nd in F1. I would also like to congratulate Michael for driving an excellent Hungarian Grand Prix, despite having a inferior car and bad set of tyres he came second and gave a good scare to kimi, everyone at that moment taught that ferrari were back but they were never really. Lets get the things straight - entire world was against ferrari they were winning titles after titles and no other team even came close to beating them so fia taught that if they cannot be beaten on the field lets trick them off field and they started changing rules. Every one knew that bridgstone and ferrari had gone such a long way in developing tyres that lasted upto 20 laps so they changed that rule. I would like to ask Max Mosely that why did he change back the rule this year and who will be responsible if the tyres burst and drivers die??you just don't change the rule to let one team down without thinking about the effects and also fabio bevvetory(renault manager) or whatever his name is that when all the teams were ready to change back to 7 tyre rule why did he say no? may be he wants to win the races and kill his drivers. Perhaps that is why alonso is going to Mclaren next year. Also in the US gp according to me ferrari was 100% correct, just because the other teams were not ready does not mean that you change the track and start adding chikanes. Lets suppose that tomorrow renault comes and says that thier straight line speed is not good so convert all the fast lanes to curves, like this all the teams will built circuits according to thier need and race alone. You have to be prepared for everything in F1 you cannot complaint that my tyres are not ready or my engine is not ready, if you are not ready please leave the field.

Current year seams to be more promising for Ferrari with new rules and V8 engine.

Watch out this space for my predictions for 2006.
